Evanston, Illinois 2016
This single family home, built in 1892, was later designated a historic landmark by the City of Evanston. The challenge was to create a contemporary space while maintaining the character of the original. A second story was added over the rear single-story kitchen, allowing the mansard roof profile to be extended.
